Sarcasm, Smugness, and Smarts

I had a teacher who said, “Sarcasm is anger with a smile.” My observations have shown that smugness has become an acceptable form of communication in our American society. For example, when McDonald’s wanted to show that they were accepting credit/debit cards, they put up this smug, obnoxious, unprofessional sign.  Whatever happened to simple dignity?  Smarts are falling prey to Sarcasm and Smugness.  How can we expect people to treat us right when we don’t treat each other right?

Lib says: No matter how you slice the cake, what comes around goes around, you reap what you sow, karma will come back to bite you, etc., it’s all about chilling out and accepting people for who they are, not what they do.  You don’t have to like everything everyone does; I assure you, people don’t like what you do.

Love,

Lib
